VIVER SIMPLES is a project created in Brazil by Brazilians and foreigners. Living simple is a way to return to the simple and natural way of life to follow a sustainable path in direction to the future. In order to rediscover how to live simple, the group of founders and many collaborators proposes to experiment innovative ideas and share all learning processes in network. An open community made of people that have the same dream.
Based on traditional Taoist's philosophies and practical exercises of harmonic living with natural laws, the ecoVillage VIVER SIMPLES develop activities involving the local community, respecting the culture and knowledge of the traditional population and cultivating the profound respect to the nature.
The project involves:
- Rural Condominium - joined Ownership of 13 founders with familiar houses and areas of permanent agriculture integrated to the woods, rivers, forests, waterfalls and mountains.
- Research and Learning center - a great Hall for Courses, 26 accommodations lodge for visitors, community restaurant, library, technological center for research and knowledge dissemination.
- Social and environmental Organization, a non-profit association, bearing no political-party links nor any distinction of creed, race, ethnicity, class, sexual preference or gender, to help local development focusing on education, culture, environment and solidarity economy.
